Ludhiana Woman Accuses Husband of Threatening to Leak Her Objectionable Photos Captured Through Spy Cameras, Demanding Rs 20 Lakh


Ludhiana, November 7: A shocking case has come to the fore from Haryana, where a 23-year-old woman has accused her husband of blackmailing her with objectionable photos. Finding credence in her complaints, a team of police has launched a search operation to nab the accused. The husband went untraceable since the complaint was lodged against him.

The victim has alleged that her husband was helped by his mother and maternal uncles to target her. Spy cameras were allegedly installed in the washrooms to captured her objectionable images.

The woman claimed that her husband used the images to demand Rs 20 lakh from her. He had allegedly threatened to share the images on social media networking sites if the amount was not given to him by her parents. According to HT, the complainant said that some of the images were shared by him on his WhatsApp status.

Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Gurdev Singh, who is the investigating officer, told reporters that a case has been registered under Sections 67 and 67-A of the IT Act. The names of other accused, including the husband’s mother and maternal uncles, has not been included in the FIR for now as the police conducting a preliminary probe into their role.
