‘Living In My Home Makes Me Feel Like A Worthless Human Being,’ Says Woman With Overstuffed House


Jackie says she’s been hiding the fact that her home is cluttered for the past 20 years. She says her four-bedroom house and three-car garage are full of stuff and acknowledges that she hangs onto more than she gets rid of. Jackie, a retired police officer, says she wasn’t always this way, but after her daughter, Shayla, started school – she got bored – and that’s when she started collecting and fixing things. “Now living in my home makes me feel like a worthless human being because I don’t understand how I would let something like this happen,” says Jackie. “Especially knowing how badly it hurts my family members.” Watch the video above to hear about the challenging events in Jackie’s life that Dr. Phil says may have contributed to her hoarding problem.
